About Giorgia Fonyodi

She was born in Esztergom, Hungary, finished her grammar school studies in Hilo, Hawaii, specialized in Advanced Placement Art. She was conferred her MA degree of fashion design at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in 2009. She got a scholarship at London College of Fashion majoring in Women’s Wear. She was conferred her second degree also at MOME majoring in Design Management. She also had the opportunity to be involved in the Arts Management Major of the International Business School, a partner of Oxford Brooks University.

While at MOME, she was granted a Public Scholarship of the Republic in 2006. At the end of her studies in 2009, she finished first in the textile category of the Arts Section of the National Scientific and Student Conference with her work titled “Material Manipulations Today”, enabling her to apply for the Pro Scientia Gold Medal Competition, whereby she was recognized by the Pro Arte Gold Medal, received in the Ceremonial Hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 2010 and 2011 she was nominated for the "Year’s Young Fashion Designer" at Fashion Awards Hungary. Currently she lives in New York and works at Ann Taylor as a fashion designer assistant.
